We have work featured in a new book by Mona Hajj called “Interior Visions”. Hajj is a interior designer based in Baltimore, MD, and runs Mona Hajj Interiors. Our photos can be seen on page 62 and 63. We worked with her on a Red Cross Designer’s Show House in West Palm Beach, FL. Her style is elegant and refined while being inviting and cozy.

We did a photo shoot for the Wall Street Journal in Palm Beach, Florida. We shot 1800 photos in 2 days at 10 locations. The story was featured on January 22, 2011 in the Off Duty section under Adventure & Travel. It was an insider’s guide to Palm Beach. It highlighted suggestions from well-known people like designer Lars Bolander and Jimmy Buffett’s daughter Savannah Jane Buffett. 9/10 Gorgeous Homes in Rhode Island and New York

This summer we photographed two lovely homes designed by Olivia O'Bryan Interiors. The first was in Bristol, Rhode Island, perched on a hill overlooking the harbor.

The second home was overlooking Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. This golf course was ranked in Golf Digest as America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses.

Our work is featured in 2 different magazines this month. Miami Home & Décor showcases a condo in Miami Beach that we shot for Garcia Maldonado Inc, an Interior Design/Architecture firm based out of Manhattan. Good Housekeeping magazine features one of our photos in their “Destination: Global Style” section. The photo is from a private residence designed by Olivia O’Bryan, Inc. The home was designed with a Moroccan theme.

We have a feature story in Interiors magazine, Feb/Mar 2010 issue on newsstands now. The story is about a private residence in Vero Beach, Florida, that we photographed for Olivia O’Bryan, Inc., an interior design firm. The home is conversant in Chinese elements. The designers, Ashley Waddell and Courtney Whatley wanted to “Create a refuge… surrounded by beautiful things and incredible light.”

A very unique private community & club in Vero Beach, Florida, has contracted us to shoot their real estate photography as well as other projects that arise. The community is called Windsor and is a village by the sea. All of the homes are custom built have an Anglo-Caribbean architecture where refined simplicity and restrained dignity are hallmarks.

We shot 5 homes in 5 days for Olivia O'Bryan Interiors in Vero Beach, FL. The shoot was unique in that each home had a different style and feel from Asian to Moroccan to Swedish and everything in between. The company is run by two talented sisters. We look forward to seeing these photos appear in various magazines.

06/09 Traditional Home magazine- We're on the cover!

Our photo is featured on the cover of Traditional Home magazine's June/July issue. We photographed this beach cottage on Gasparilla Island in Florida a year ago.

The owner is JoAnn Barwick, former editor-in-chief of House Beautiful. The home is decorated with lots of blue and white in a Swedish style. We had a great time working with art director Brenda Cort and stylist Lynn Nesmith.

1/09- 2009 American Red Cross Designers' Show House

It's time for the 2009 American Red Cross Designers' Show House in West Palm Beach. It opens January 15th. This year we photographed rooms for Mona Hajj Interiors of Baltimore, MD, and Home Life Interiors of West Palm Beach, FL.

11/08 Urban Living- New City Palms Condos!

We have been busy at Big Blue Photography. We landed a huge project right in our backyard in West Palm Beach at the new City Palms Condos.

The Client: Hirschorn Zuckerman Design Group of Rockville, MD (outside Washington DC)
The mission: Photograph a new condo building called "City Palms"
The Goal: Produce 45 images of the exterior and interior of the building plus the local area.
The Final Product: We shot over 2000 images, edited them down to 750, and are waiting for a final approval on 45 shots.

There are some exciting changes at Big Blue Photography. We moved to a new residential studio in Hypoluxo, FL. We now have room for product shots and portraits.

We had a great summer. We did our first fashion shoot at the Gansevoort South Hotel in Miami for Private Clubs magazine's September issue. We also shot a cover story for HOME Fort Lauderdale magazine's July issue. Please see both layouts below:

We had two huge accomplishments this month. And we hope to keep going...

1. We were chosen as one of the "Best Web Sites of the Year" in the PDN Photo Annual 2008

2. We shot our 1st feature story for Traditional Home, a national magazine published by the Meredith Corporation. The story will run in Oct '08 or next year.

1/08- Palm Beach Red Cross Designers' Show House, Singer Island, FL

This year we nabbed the opportunity to photograph the Red Cross Show House on Singer Island for 5 great designers. Deborah McLaughlin Designs of Palm Beach, Lon Morris Interiors of NYC, Home Life Interiors, Linda Ashley Interior Decoration, and newcomer Diane Cantone all of West Palm Beach.

It was the Red Cross' first condo show house in 32 years and was 9,180 square feet. Getting a behind the scenes preview was fun to say the least.

4/07 Unpredictible as always

April seemed to have a slow start until the last two weeks when we had a big rush. We took on a new client, the Windsor Gardens Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens. They just finished renovating their restaurant, bar and pool area "Secrets".

We also photograped a striking Bulthaup kitchen of aluminum and stainless steel in Boca Raton for Florida Insideout Magazine. Take a look:

This month, we have taken on some very interesting clients such as E-Z Weld, Inc., a glue manufacturing plant in Riviera Beach. We photographed a magnificent mural created by Arte Ceramica of Antique Row in West Palm Beach. And last of all, we photographed a new towhhouse development in Lantana for realtors Maggie & Bill Sarubbi.

Aside from photography, we have been busy location scouting for a renowned English photographer, Ben Edwards, who is in town shooting for 3 weeks. He is shooting for Blend Images, a stock photography company located in Las Vegas. Take a look at some recent work:

Big Blue Designs is now Big Blue Photography. Why the change? Too many people were confused about what we did. We originally dabbled in graphic design and photography but the photography side has skyrocketed and now is our primary focus.

Over the past year, we have worked our way into the niche of architectural photography. We've started photographing for many Interior Designers. Just this month, we finished a project for Deborah McLaughlin Designs of Palm Beach.

Big Blue Designs is proud to produce it's first blog this month. We hope to keep clients and potential business partners in the loop. We have begun to specialize in Architecture, Interiors, Editorial, and Commercial Photography. We have been making lots of headway over the past few months gaining clients such as Conde Nast Traveller (UK), Hotels Magazine, L'Officiel Voyage (France), and BeE Woman Magazine.
